Where has the time gone?

Wow! Time sure does fly by, where does it go? It seems like only yesterday that I was holding my tiny newborn in my arms. I remember that day so clearly, and it's almost been 4 years! So much has happened in that small time frame. I had a miscarriage, lost my mother in a car accident, then had a tubular pregnancy that almost took my life. I gave birth to another beautiful daughter and then another.

My youngest is already 8 months old. She is so cute. The HAPPIEST baby you will every meet. She is always smiling. She is so active and teaches herself so much. She mastered the art of crawling awhile ago but has dreamed of being able to stand since birth. Ever since she had the muscles, she always stood on her hands and feet and tried to lift her hands off the floor. It was so fun to just watch her detimination to stand. She has now learned to use furniture to lift herself to a standing position and no longer stands on all fours grunting while trying to lift herself to stand. Seriously the cutest baby in the world.

My middle child is also at such a fun stage. She is really picking up her language skills. She is talking so well. I love how she says things. Like "Hold you mommy"...as she lifts her arms up wanting to be held. She is constantly exploring and learning new things. So FUN!

My oldest is so adventurous. She wants to know about everything around her and how it works. I learn so much from her everyday. She has such a good memory. I can't believe how much she remembers. You tell her a story once and for the next week she will be telling that same story to everyone she comes in contact with. I love her so dearly.

I am so grateful for my beautiful family and for all the blessings in my life. I am extremely thankful for my wonderful husband. He works so hard to support us and I cannot thank him enough. I LOVE YOU BABY!

New Kit

Alright everyone. Check out this adorable new kit! This is the last kit that I will do for SAHM Scrapper. She was kind enough to let me do this kit because I was so excited for it. It is also her first kit with her new partner. Their designing name is "Designing Divas." Isn't that such a cute name? Well, now you know the reason why she had to get rid of some of her CT. Two designers came together as one and they both had a pretty large CT. You will find it in the stuff to scrap store for $2.50 for a limited time only. So go and get it. If you have any dentist pictures, especially braces pictures, then this kit is for you. The preview of the kit is linked to the store.

New Kit by SAHM Scrapper

SAHM Scrapper has a new kit out today. It is called Haunted Halloween. As you know I am no longer going to be on her CT. All of those changes take place next month. So I will be doing a layout for one more kit this month. She is also letting me work on one of her kits next month that I was really excited for. Anyway, this is a very bright and cute Halloween kit. Head on over to her store and snag it. The preview of the kit is linked.
This is our family on Halloween 2008. The two pictures are actually one that I cut in half so that I could create this look.

BIG NEWS for HORNBUCKLE DESIGN :)

Alright everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am no longer on SAHM Scrapper's CT. Something came up and she had to cut two CT members. She was going to assign everyone a number and have the numbers randomly chosen. I couldn't allow that to happen. I didn't think it would be fair for her to possibly loose one of her seasoned CT members to keep me. I was one of the most recent additions, so I figured I was the fair choice to leave... I volunteered. Now don't you go thinking I am a saint or anything...(even though being on her CT was a DREAM) I actually felt a little overwhelmed being on two CT's and I want to get use to Mandy's CT before I jump into someone elses too. I was accepted to Mandy's CT first, even though it was only a couple days before, she was still first, and I feel like she deserves my all. I have a lot to learn. I am hoping to get photoshop soon so that I can start bringing you some awesome QP freebies in the future.

Alright, now for the BIG NEWS. Mandy has opened her store already at Ahhhscrap.com. She is going to be opening her store at Gingerscraps.net on the 15th of this month. DON'T MISS IT! I am going to post all of her kits, right here, on my blog :) What date did you say? Well, OCTOBER 15TH...mark your calendars! Her designer name is Hornbuckle Designs... SO EXCITED for what is ahead :)

Wonderful Weekend and New Kit!

This was such a great weekend! First of all, it was conference weekend. For those of you who don't know...I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. Two times a year we get 12 hours, during which we get to listen to our Prophet, apostles, and other leaders in the church. One two-hour session is for women...another two-hour session is for men. Then, there are two two-hour sessions on Saturday and then two more on Sunday. There were so many great teachings. The speakers never discuss with each other what they are going to talk about, and every time conference is on I tend to notice a "theme." I know that these men and women are speaking to us through inspiration and I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today, and he speaks with God, just like the prophets of old. It says in the bible that God is the "Same yesterday, today, and forever" I truly believe that scripture! If God spoke with men back in ancient time...why not now? Well, I can tell you he does! There were many wonderful teachings this conference and I really enjoyed listening to it.

On top of all that. Trent and I took a drive to Idaho during the first Sunday morning session. It was nice to be able to see the beautiful scenery and listen to conference on the radio. A nice family in Idaho gave us a neat bed for Jessica and a beautiful dresser. The bed is from Ikea and it has a slide. OH MY GOODNESS! My kids were so so excited! I can't tell you how long my kids have wanted a slide and they finally got one! Thank you so much to that wonderful family. :)

Okay now onto the new kit! There is a new kit out by SAHM Scrapper. It is called Gleefully wicked and it can be found in her store at Stuff to Scrap. Here is what I did with it, and a preview of her cute new kit!

Above is two of my cute nieces dressed up for Halloween 2009 and below is a picture of my Mother-in-law dressed up for Halloween as well.

As promised here is SAHM Scrapper's newest kit. It is called Dinosaur Roar. This kit was a collab done with Rainamoon Scraps. I absolutely loved this kit but wasn't sure what pictures to scrap with it. I have 3 girls and no boys. I quickly learned that this kit can be used for any gender....you be the judge though. Below you will see what I did with it and then the previews for both designers parts. The different parts can be found at the Stuff to Scrap Store...just search Dinosaur Roar. I would put a link but it don't let me copy and paste....so when I figure out how to add a link future kits will be linked :)

This is just the beginning everyone. Between SAHM Scrapper and Hornbuckle Designs, I am going to bring you a minimum of 4 kits a month. I am SOOOO excited!

Last month I applied for two different CT's. To be honest with you, I didn't think I would make any of the teams... then, to my surprise, I was accepted to Mandy Hornbuckle's CT. She is a newer designer who is just getting her stores open. She is so talented and I was so excited to become part of her team. Mandy is selling at Gingerscraps.net and Ahhhscrap.com.

A couple days later I received an email ferom Becky (SAHM Scrapper.) I was accepted on her CT too.....AHHH....two CT's, I am in Heaven! Becky sells her kits at Stufftoscrap.com.

For those of you who don't know, CT means "creative team." Basically people on a CT do layouts with the designers new kits so people can see how cute the kits are. Right now I sit for literally hours creating my layouts. I think my husband is sick of sleeping alone. I tend to do my layouts through all hours of the night...I really need to get faster at doing them :)

On top of all that, after being a SAHM for over 3 years, I just got a job. I only work between 12-16 hours a week.... but, it is so much harder than I thought it would be. My husband sent me a picture of Alyssa...her dinner was everywhere but in her mouth...I started to CRY! I couldn't believe missing that made me cry. That being said, I am so grateful to even have a job. IN and OUT Burger recently opened near us and 1800 people applied. I heard they are trying to hire the heads of the households. It is admirable that they are putting thought into who needs the jobs the most. It would be so much easier to just pick the first 30 or so qualified people and not even look at the other applicants.

Okay to end on a happier note, I want to post one of Mandy's kits. It is called Gitz. First are the layouts that I did with it, then it is a preview of the kit. I had a lot of fun with this kit! I am also going to post a new kit by Becky, but it will be in a new post...mainly because I keep struggling on getting my pictures where I want them to be :)

Great Weekend!

GRRR! I just wrote a long story about my weekend and pressed post. Too much time had elapsed since I got on so it made me log back in, after I did, my story was GONE! Now I have to write it all over again. Trust me when I say this won't be as good as the first time.

It was Friday, June 18, 2010: Courtney and I rushed to the store to pick up ketchup and mayo to make some fry sauce. On the way she told me a funny story. Courtney went with her boyfriend to get his car key copied. While there she decided to copy her key as well. She went to give the man her key when he asked "Does your key have a chip in it?" Courtney examined her key and replied, "no I don't think so." She then handed her key to the man to get a copy. He took her key and went to make a copy. Upon returning he handed her the key back and said, "This key does have a chip in it, so I can't copy it." "It has a chip in it?" Courtney asked. "That's right," he said. "Where?" she replied "It is under the rubber." While holding up the key Courtney with confusion asked, "So my key has a chip -- under the rubber, and because of that, you can't copy it?" "Exactly," he replied. "Whatever." Courtney wasn't going to argue with him so she just went home and explained the whole thing to her dad.

A couple month's had gone by when her boyfriend's dad started looking at Courtney's keys, "You have a chip in this one." he said. Courtney grabbed the keys out of his hand and with frustration said, "Why can everyone, but ME, see this chip?" I am sure at this point her boyfriends dad was dying of laughter inside. "Courtney, it is a computer chip."

Courtney had spent the last couple months being really careful not to break off her "chipped" key in the ignition. She had that happen before and didn't want it to happen again. *LOL*

That was a great start to a fun girl's night. Courtney and I retured to the condo to enjoy a night of funny stories, junk food, watching movies, and just being with family. 3 of my sisters (LauraLee, Karyn, and Donna (technically Donna is my sister-in-law)) and 3 of my nieces (Courtney, Stephanie, and Chelsea) were there with me. We had so much fun and it was nice not having to worry about any kids. (Thanks to all of our husbands for taking care of our children so we could get this night away)

The next day I got to take 2 of my girls (Jessica and Alyssa) to a party. My niece (Mary) she turned 5, and her parents threw her a fun princess party. Where all the kids were supposed to come in a beautiful princess dress. Mary's mom and dad (Nancy and Karl) dressed up as Snow White and a prince. Karl crowned all of the little girls and danced with them. It was adorable. We had a delicious lunch and then the kids played some fun games. They played musical chairs. (it was fun to watch 20+ kids, most of whom were ages 2-6, play that...the kids cried when they got out so they started letting everyone chose a candy and that made it all better) They also played a princess version of "Duck, Duck, Goose" called "Princess, Princess, Frog." There was a pinata and a beautiful castle cake. It was so much fun!

To top the weekend off, all my brothers and sisters and their families were invited to my dad's house for Father's Day. We had a BBQ and just enjoyed visiting with each other and being with family. :)

Here is my second page for my Alphabet Book. I did "B is for Bubble, butterflies, beautiful, and babies." I did a picture of my oldest daughter in a giant bubble and then I added pictures of all of my kids as babies.
The page is made with elements from a few different kits. The journaling letter B on the right side is from the Alphabet kit at Browniescraps.com. The red edge and the button are from a kit at justsoscrappy.blogspot.com. The paper is from scrapbookflair.com. I have no idea where I got all of those cute butterflies....and the lettering is from My Memories Suite fonts.

This is the first page in my digital alphabet book. I did "A is for Alyssa." I am so excited to get this book finished but I take forever to do each page because it has to be absolutely perfect...and since perfect is impossible it takes me a long time to do ;)
I used the Alphabet kit at browniescraps.com for this page

Getting Lazy ALREADY!

Wow I started this blog with such enthusiasm...I posted one post and then BAM...I didn't even get back to it for 5 whole days. What can I say...I'm lazy :)

My daughter, Jessica, makes me laugh. She says the darndest things and I love her imagination. I never know who she is at any given moment. She pretends to be anyone from Cinderella to her friend next door. One day Trent came home from work and asked Jessica a question and she responded "Dad I am Ariel and I have legs...so I can't talk." She didn't really say anything for the next 2 hours when she finally told us that she wasn't Ariel anymore. I think she gave up on playing "Ariel with legs" because we played along and kept reminding her that she couldn't talk. It was a nice couple of hours.

All About ME!

I just wanted to introduce myself so that you could get to know me a little bit. My name is Diantha (Dideedoo is what my mom called me growing up) I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. I have three beautiful little girls...Jessica who is 3, Alyssa is 1 and Mckinna is 3 months old. I have been married to a wonderful man (Trent) for just over 6 years.

I love being a mommy, digital scrapbooking, painting, swimming and camping. One day I would love to write a book, learn how to play the piano, skydive, get organized, and fix my husband's eating habits...he will eat anything....as long as its pizza, pasta, or junk food.

I hope that through this blog I am able to post my daily struggles and daily joys. I hope to be able to help people focus on the possitives in their lives. I have realized that so many people have a hard time forgiving others. People lose out on so much when they are unwilling to just let things go. Being offended is a choice and when someone hurts you, you can take offense or you can just let it go...it is that easy. I am not talking about the large offenses that people do, including but not limited to, adultry, murder etc...I am talking about small offenses like forgetting an anniversary, birthday or being called a bad name. You would be amazed what people allow ruin their lives.

As you read my posts you will quickly realize a few things. I am terrible with puctuation...I have no idea when I should use a common or a colon....so I just put a lot of periods :) I am quick to get off subject if something else pops into my mind. After having 3 kids in just over 3 year I have found that my memory has pretty much disappeared. I ramble a lot and most the time it is about nothing.

I am excited to get to know a lot of other moms out there. Please send me your funny mom moments or your mommy struggles and I would love to post them. I am hoping to teach a few things and learn a lot more along the way. Until next time just keep smiling and write the things down that make you scream so you can smile about them tomorrow.
